Faith is in the heart of the believer.
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, wouldn't that make faith in the eye of the believer?
Just the opposite, woolly thinking blowhard. There are beautiful things. The beauty is there, it is only perceived. We don't create it !
Faith does not create God, because then it would be subsequent to God. And what does the eye have to do with it.
and of course you already predetermined the answer because you could easily have said :
If faith is not in the eye of the believer, then is beauty in the eye of the beholder ?
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, wouldn't that make faith in the eye of the believer?
Faith is in the heart of every believer, but that's the rub, you have to be a believer. Beauty will be whatever it is as determined by whomever is viewing it. A measure of faith has been deposited within each of us and it is up to us to cultivate that faith.
Blessings
Just because beauty is in the eye of the beholder does not mean it is only subjective. It often means the beholder is capable of recognizing the objectiveness of the beauty. Faith is definitely in that category. Faith becomes belief in the reality.
Umm...I'm not sure the analogy holds. I think faith is faith regardless of the beholder. It's still the acceptance of something without any regard to proof or evidence.
This is a bad analogy beauty is mutable faith is absolute..
Exactly.
Now just wait for ';faith is in the eye of the beholder, but Hell certainly isn't'; or something like that.
That's a great way to put it. I noticed a comment saying one is opinion and the other is fact, but that's their perspective (eye).
beauty...faith...beams...motes...windows
boy there's a lot of stuff in peoples eyes.
Ow!
OOOOOWWWW!
I'VE GOT A PIECE OF FAITH IN MY EYE!
SOMEONE GET IT OUT!
GET IT OOOOOOOUUUUT!
Aesthetic.
no completely different. one is the truth the other is an opinion
Yeah... however, both are actually in the brain. :P
Yup.
