Is beauty actually in the eye of the beholder?

if not, then where?Is beauty actually in the eye of the beholder?
no, beauty is in the mind of the beholder.Is beauty actually in the eye of the beholder?
yeah, sometimes. sometimes its on somebody's face, like a baby's face. or beauty on a mountaintop, like i saw at st helens in washington. or in the way a homerun sails over the fence. and then there is the beauty of kindness
i love this qoute from SMALLVILLE.

';those who say beauty is on the inside already have it on the outside...';

beauty, whatever it is, where ever it is, is rather a political issue. yes, it is... so treat it like politicians would do. since beauty is a delicate issue, handle it like the US invasion of Iraq, or else you will find yourself on the wrong side of the road...

hahaha!
well i believe it is, because i might think something is beutiful and then u might have a different opinion. so ya.
I have a pencil
It is and it isn't. Reason being, societies condition people to find certain things beautiful. Also, people have their own ideas of what is or isn't beautiful. So it is in the eye of the beholder, but it's also something that society teaches you. For instance, in some African tribes a bride-to-be will eat for days on end in order to gain weight because the fatter she is, the better she looks to her husband and others in those tribes. In America, we would mostly find that pretty disgusting. We've been conditioned to prefer skinnier girls from the time we're very young by movies like Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and then live action pictures with girls like Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton, etc. It's a mixture of natural desire and society.
Yes and no, true beauty is beauty to everyone, ugly beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Inner beauty however is golden.
true beauty exists within the awareness of the soul and deeper into the dimensions we can only dream of.

It radiates from the Divine source and permeates the veils of the earthly realm....

when a beholder is witness to the beauty....The beauty is suspended in thankfulness for a time.......and is recycled back into the Cosmic soup pot.

Love is Beauty
beauty is a matter of perspective, it's only a state of mind.
In the mind, heart and soul of the beholder and is experienced by all of the senses, not just sight!
I thought beauty was in the eye of the beer holder-go figure!
yes... have you ever seen something that was so ugly you wondered haw anyone could admire it? And then you see someone lovely admiring it? That is beauty in the eye of the beholder.
i believe that statement. a person is either superficial or not
Yes and no.
yes it is.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder to a point because certain people find certain things attractive while oters may not; however, there are some features that appeal to everyone. People in different places of the world have very different views about what ';beauty'; actually is.
no, its on queer eye for the straight guy.
* Of course it is!
ya, I've thought someone was beautiful and had someone next to me say ';not so much'; while looking at the same person.

It's a persons opinion. There is indeed a sort of required SYMMETRY in ones face for them to be considered attractive, but really it all comes down to the beholders own opinion.

Like I thought Jessica Alba was beautiful and my ex-boyfriend didn't. Strange isn't it?
It is very much so.

Have you ever met someone that at first is absolutely beautiful, but as you get to know them and their personality, they physically become average to downright ugly to you?

And vice versa, how about meeting an average looking person, and as you get to know them, their physical flaws become attractive or even beautiful to you? Someones great personailty can make someone beautiful.
';Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'; was brought out by most truths.. when you love someone, they become even more attractive to you, You look at them in a different light then if you just met them or saw them walking down the street.

There of course, is beauty all around us. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, or has something beautiful about them as a person.

So when we here that ';beauty is in the eye of the beholder'; from someone-about someone that we are with, perhaps they don't have the attraction towards that person as you do because they don't look at them the same.
Yes, it is. We find certain people and things appealing because of our personal preferrences. Now, sometimes we are trained to think certain things are beautiful by our friends, family, society, and TV. It really depends on the individual, though. My friends all like a certain type of music and trip over themselves when a certain type of guy walks by. I listen to a completely different genre and laugh at their taste in men. It really depends on perspective and how in love we are. When we are infatuated with someone we naturally think they are the most amazing person in the world..that's just the way we work.
