Why do some attractive people not photograph well when others' looks seem to be enhanced greatly?Aside from the fact that ';beauty is in the eye of the beholder,'; what makes a person photogenic or not?
For still photographs, where this is most dramatic, I'd say that attractive people who don't photograph well frequently have attributes like poise, grace, and charm. But more ordinary people who do photograph well may lack those qualities and instead have comparatively good bone structure. The classic case, of course, is the woman who can be made to look gorgeous in a photograph, but who is unrecognized as anything special by her neighbors without the careful attention to makeup, lighting and the like.
