What exactly does ';Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'; mean?

ok soo ive also thought that it meant its in the persons eyes that if they have beautiful eyes then they are beautiful. Or does it mean some people might think someones beautiful but someones else thinks their not?? i really dont get this quote???What exactly does ';Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'; mean?
Basically mean everyone has different taste.

Like You might be ugly to someone but another guy might find you really sexy. So beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What exactly does ';Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'; mean?
it describes how beauty is different for everyone. How you ever thought 'omg that dress is ugly!' the owner of the dress obviously likes it.

in this example the 'beauty' is the dress and the 'beholder' is the dress owner
It means whatever one person considers to be beautiful. Some might think something or someone is beautiful , but, someone else might not feel the same way. It depends on who is doing the viewing and what they think is beautiful.
It means beauty has a different meaning for different to different people. For example, one may think a spider's web is beautifully crafted. Another person may find it disgusting.
It means that one person might think someone is beautiful but someone else might not think that person is beautiful. Everyone has their own idea as to what/who is beautiful.
It is your second idea . When you look at a person you may see someone really special , while your friend looks at the same person and asks if you are crazy because she sees a jerk .
