*mitsuki*How do I say ' beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and 'there is no such things as perfect' in italian?
The fist phrase is an english idiomatic expression that have a corresponding italian idiomatic expression:

beauty is in the eye of the beholder = ';non è bello ciò che è bello, ma è bello ciò che piace';

the italian phrase is not the literally translation of the english phrase because in Italy the same ';meaning'; is expressed with other words.

I don't know if the second phrase is an english idiomatic expression, but certainly in italian there's not idiomatic expression having the same meaning expressed by this english phrase.

the second phrase means that ';in reality things that are perfect does not exist and perfection in reality does not exist.';

the literally translation of the second phrase is:

';non esiste qualcosa di simile alla perfezione.';
You could say: 'Non e' bello cio' che e' bello, e' bello cio' che piace'

(Beautiful things (people) are only beautiful if you like them)

My dad who came from near Naples used to say: 'Anche uno scarafaggio e' bello per la sua mamma' (Even a beetle looks beautiful to its mum....): it's a funny way to express the same concept!

and

'Nessuno e' perfetto' (Nobody's perfect).

Good luck with your coursework!
la bellezza sta negli occhi di chi ti guarda. (beauty is in the eye of the beholder)

niente/nessuno è perfetto. (there is no such things as perfect)
La bellezza sta negli occhi di chi ti guarda (beauty is in the eye of the beholder)

nessuno/niente è perfetto (there is no such things as perfect)
La bellezza è/sta negli occhi di chi ti guarda

Non c'è nulla di perfetto nelle cose
