Beauty in the eye of the beholder?

As with anything like this there is no point discussing the matter without a clear definition - so: how do you define beauty? How do we recognize beauty?

And on to the main question: do you believe that beauty is a characteristic of an object, person or idea? Or is beauty determined by the one viewing it? If so, then what are the implications of this? Does beauty only exist in the mind?

Beauty in the eye of the beholder?
usually when I see beauty it is something within that sparks my notice.

A person can be attractive and well made up but their demeanor will

broadcast their beauty - or not.

I have seen numerous attractively packaged individuals who were

very self centered and not at all beautiful.Beauty in the eye of the beholder?
google ';golden ratio'; an actual concrete measurement for beauty.. making it objective.. that beauty.

and theres also a beauty thats transcending, thats perception, like it reminds us of something or someone.
unless it is upside down . . .

Yes in the mind and the pheromones.
