If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, who is the beholder?
The person beholding someone. To most my sister may not be ';pretty/beautiful'; but once you get to know her she is incredibly beautiful.


It's sad that some ';beautiful people'; have nothing else to contribute to the world other than their visual attractiveness.


And the people who may seem ';flawed'; at first are amazing/incredible people with compassion, empathy, love and tolerance to offer. That's what makes them most beautiful.


I have a friend that has been married 4 times and he isn't even 40 yet. He won't give anyone ';imperfect'; a chance. But he'll put a 30K diamond on the finger of a stacked blonde in a hot minute. :(
Beauty is different to every single person in the world.There may be some agreements on what is beautiful and what is not. But everyone sees different. Therefore the beholder is each individual person.
the beholder is the one viewing the object/individual. The statement is only saying that it depends on who/what looks on it, whether or not it/they are beautiful.
Society. It pretty much dictates what ';beauty'; is.
